Day 6 - Where can your Creativity Take you?

*Emunah College *Betzalel Art School *Orcam

*Dinner at Ben Yehudah *Yud Shvat Farbrengen

We were given a tour of Emunah Art College, a religous school for fine arts, education, and theater. It was almost like a branch of Tzohar in Israel!

Visiting the College and hearing from the principal, the combination of Torah education, art, and theater felt the closest to what we are trying to do at Tzohar - expressing Torah and Chassidus through the Arts and educating the parts of the student that other systems don’t seem to express.

-Mrs. Guterson

I often find it upsetting that there aren’t more schools like Tzohar. Emunah Art College fascinated me. Its philosophy and program were so inspiring to see. Its similarities to the school I’m in and seeing it in the Holy Land was so incredible! -Etti Krinsky

We visited not one, but two art colleges! Emunah College was followed by Betzalel, the main art college in Israel.

I felt so at peace and at home when we were strolling through the hallways and rooms of Betzalel. It was overwhelming to see so many creative, artistic people in one place - but in a good way. -Tzivia Druin

Betzalel Art School was surprisingly inspirational and made me excited to pursue a creative career.

We got a taste of the cutting edge technological side of Israel when Peter invited us to Orcam, a company that he is an investor in. Orcam produces a portable, artificial vision device that allows the visually impaired to understand text and identify objects. We met with a representative of the company who spoke to us about the company and the device and let us try it out ourselves!

We had the privilege of spending Yud Shvat in Yerushalayim! Gila Lowell, a teacher at Mayanot, came to farbreng with us and share her thoughts in honor of the occasion.

Our Yud Shvat farbrengen with Gila was really nice. She was so down to earth and relatable. I really enjoyed it. -Shaindel Freedman
